That looks a bit excessive to me. Even if it's not actively leaking, that they left oil hanging around after work is completed which suggests a shoddy approach. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

And if its brake fluid, it will strip off any paint it comes into contact with. |

The dealer confirmed that it’s engine oil and it has to do with a seal, following the timing belt change. They say the repair will be covered by the guarantee of the timing belt change. Guess the good news is that I’ll get a free oil change Gone:

Strange. No oil seals should be removed when changing the timing belt Kev

Do they go near the oil pump tensioner? Another over torqued bolt causing a crack? This could be a lucky escape. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Hmm could be. The bolt on the tensioner should only be tightened to 24nm from memory. Kev

In fact they never mentioned a seal just the imperviousness being affected and that they would do it for free. So obviously related to the work they did. Will ask for a clear explanation and report back Gone:

Is it clear oil? could also be the transmission cooler, given the location. RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Lux

Took the car back. Very unclear explanation saying it was a "joint d'ethancheité" basically an articulation which was not watertight anymore. No cost and no paperwork. Gone:
