Hi all,
I have a 2012 RRS Supercharged with rear seat entertainment. The CD player works fine as does the TV tuner, (rear headrests work fine) however the DVD player only plays sound but no image? Any suggestions?

Is it original RSE? Does the DVD play from the head unit onto the rear screens? 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Hi, yes it is. It has a single disc head unit in the dash.

Yes and no, it plays the soundtrack and both front and rear screens show a black screen with the DVD chapter number, just no bloody video!

Can you get the codes read? It could be a loose coax between the IAM and the FCDIM or it could be your IAM is goosed. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

I took it to my local stealer and they’ve apparently checked the physical connections. They’ve said that it may need a software update but that if the update doesn’t work properly, it could completely fry my head unit. They’ve quoted over £3000 for a new one!

I wouldn’t have thought that the need for a software update would cause the unit to stop playing the video on a DVD?

I previously had an issue where when watching the TV I got sound but no picture, I've no idea if the DVD worked or was the same but thought it worth mentioning that the dealer only did a software update and it sorted everything.
