Strange wheel wobble

Looking for any help

I have a wobble through my steering wheel around 50mph, not so strange, what makes this weird is it then stops after 30/60 seconds then drives fine plus, it’s not consistent, one day it’s there the next it’s not.

Removed the front wheels - nothing obviously worn, nothing loose nothing broken

Next step is to rotate the wheels but after that I am at a bit of a loss ? Any ideas

It’s a 2011 S/C with 58k

Not a balance issue or a slightly warped or buckled wheel ?

Swap wheesl back to fronts & vice vera,if that doesn't cure it it sounds like a worn bush or ball joint,or could even be a warped disc, sticking caliper the list goes on but try swapping wheels round first. Andy.

Tyre set perhaps? The tyres can develop a slight flat spot when parked and this take a few minutes of driving to "plump out".

That or a lower arm bush getting tired. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Had a similar issue with my previous sport, as suggested turned out to be tyres getting flat spot when car parked for a couple of days, after driving a short distance and got some heat in tyres it disappeared, it was awhile ago but seem to remember they were Goodyear tyres when eventually change to Pirelli no more issues.

Cheers
Col

Had the exact same problem, sticking brake caliper was the issue. Like you are seeing, the vibration was intermittent which ruled out a buckled wheel or wheel balance problem.

I found it by stopping immediately after the wobble started and feeling for a hot wheel.
