Is the issue when you try and put a disc in?

Jus to eliminate one issue I know of with the 2012MY, can you flip out the cover plate around the opening? I have a plastic tool for this job but I suppose a credit card or something in the gap at the bottom and prising it out would work. Then try inserting/removing a disc. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Our cd player on the dash won't work either. It's a 2005 supercharged and from what I have researched they break inside or something which stops it accepting discs. I did have a quote of £90 to repair it but never bothered. It's radio 2 if the wife is in it, kiss fm if the wife and kids are in it, no radio on and windows down if I'm in it..

If you bought it from a dealer take it back and tell them to fix it. I have just put a load of music on a USB stick and don't use my CD player although mine does work.

The unit is set back behind the trim, so looking through you should see it. You won’t see a CD though unless you look when/if it tries to eject one. If it fails to eject, it will take it back in again. Common issue is when the centre console and dash trim piece (the one with the clock) aren’t quite sat right together and it distorts the grey pop out trim enough to block the CD. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Inserting discs is not simple.
In early cars. First you need to tell it which if the 6 slots you want it to go in.

Read the manual. It may not be broken

The OPs car is a 2012 so has the virtual changer but you can play straight from the disc by inserting it, nothing else needed. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Yeah Brit I cant see anything, just as i say what looks like the side of the unit with a bar code on it .
Nothing happens when I press eject except the noise( of ejecting ).
There may not be a CD in there as it is saying "insert a CD ".
Bit of a strange one
