England

I am in the SE corner and it will be approx £1200 this will include a couple of small jobs that
the main dealer would not be doing at this service.
some are in the rest of the country are paying £800 +

so shop around and choose that right garage at the most reasonable price..

What quotes are you having, and is the work quoted for "like-for-like"?

I know there are many places that won't do the rear belt at the same time as the front...

Or you could get the back belt done as I did when the body was off to replace the Censored turbos... It's easier to reach then Laughing . Had front done 6 months later on schedule.

Hi Mike

Link to Stafford landrover https://www.swanswaygarages.com/land-rover...s/cambelt/

From their website ..This offer includes a replacement cambelt, fuel pump drive belt and the associated tensioners and by choosing to have the work carried out at a Land Rover Approved Service Centre, you can rest assured we only use genuine Land Rover parts. I have been quoted £785 including Vat

The indy is £1235 and I can't see anything extra Shocked

£900 for belts or £1150 Inc service. No mention of £785
Also no mention of replacing the idler pulleys or Aux belt, so worth clarifying, as these would add another £130-140 to the price if using genuine parts

Appreciate its still cheaper than your indy quoted...

My reason exactly for clarifying the price discrepancy which did not include the High pressure fuel timing belt????Thanks for the heads up buddy. Thumbs Up

So its now the price quoted on their page .The HPFTB is omitted as should it fail the engine is not damaged and the vehicle coasts to a stop and to which my response was this happening on the fast lane of the M6 there be a bit more than engine damage!!I use this term loosly but are not these the experts?

Need to have a chat with this recommended indy who has included those parts omitted you mentioned and see if I can knock him down.He wants another £400 for the service and MOT on top Shocked

Looks like I'm still shopping around buddy Wink

Ive seen the HPFP belt break up, and tear holes in the plastic cover, and then tear chunks out the wiring loom Shocked

ALWAYS have it replaced. Be much cheaper in the long run Thumbs Up
