I don’t mean to teach you to suck eggs but you haven’t accidentally set the boot opening limit to that position have you? 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Agh, the tail gate mod, I have it too and mine does the same thing if I press the button twice by accident. I know the moment I’ve done it, usually when (out of bad habit) I’ve been impatient. Probably something to do with the timer and switch relay in the MOD box. Never does it on the cabin switch as it’s a more positive switch for me. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Sure mine was doing it before fitting similar mod, must be a least 3 years since that was fitted but yours's may be a different problem to the one I had, but as I say a new tailgate switch cured my issue.

A new improved version of the mod came out last year Col, I assume yours needed some wiring in? The guy who makes them told me he had refined it from the original wired in version to the plug and play version in 2018 (I am, maybe incorrectly assuming the OP purchased his recently).

I haven't got the fault anymore and the mod never caused it because it was there before the mod was fitted in 2016, my kit came from a forum member who made them (the_big_1) and has been faultless, as I say I replaced the tailgate switch by the number plate lamps not the button in the bottom of the tailgate and it cured my issue, although I think L/R may have revised their original switch.

Yeah that’s the first version, the new version is plug and play so it may be the new version which has a timing issue, not a fault, just something that happens if you accidentally (whether you know it or not) press the unlock button twice. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)
