Al;arm issues

Hi folks
I am having alarm issues with my 2006 HSE RRS. When driving the bonnet open message keeps flashing for short periods of time. Similarly sometimes happen with tailgate. I know both items are closed properly but after a short time parked the alarm goes off. Is it something simple like a microswitch need resetting or is it more sinister. TIA

If you disconnect the switch to see if that is the problem, I think you have to bridge the wiring out to complete the circuit otherwise it will still think the bonnet is open.

Cheers

Did I read somewhere (Disco3 forum?) that disconnecting the bonnet catch sensor plug and bridging the terminals with a piece of wire would confirm if its faulty?
