2005 TDV6 - crappy start

hi all

my 2005 rrs tdv6 is starting a bit crappy at the mo, wondering if it might be battery or glow plugs

when i start it from cold, it turns over strong then generally fires into life but tends to bottom out and cut out unless i rev it for a couple of seconds

i obviously wait for the glow plug light to go out before i start it

its the 2.7 tdv6

thanks

chris

more likely to be an injector fault.

GP's only tend to show up as a problem below 1°C

As Andy above has said, may be injector. Do have smoke on start up idle?. Are you able to tap somebody with an IID tool to read any codes.

I had something similar and was warned by my indie that it may need a #1 injector as it was near the upper limit. On his suggestion I put 3 tank fulls of BP Ultimate (Shell is too far away) and cleared the codes. It now idles very smoothly and no codes reappeared some 7 weeks later.

Well that but sounds like GPS but they can be a nightmare to change in these

did you get the sports to an IID Tool? curious to see what the prob is as mine been odd at starting on first start up in the morning, when it was plugged in it read the following faults:

P0405-00 (2C) Exhaust gas recirculation sensor A - circuit low
P02AA-00 (6Cool Cylinder 5 balance - fuel trim at maximum limit
P121A-00 (6Cool Cylinder balance – injector restricted
