Excellent. How much was the head unit?

Xtrons ebay shop £159 or on their website is £229. The harness and facia and cage was £70 on ebay but it was a proper connects2 harness so in all was £230, bargain

In all took me about 4 hours to fit it all with your help

All the controls on the steering wheel work now as well.

Downloaded IGO satnav which I've used before and really good.

SD slot for music

2 USB ports fitted in glove box as in the pic below

so you put mp3's on a usb stick to upload?

does it have a sim card ?

Well could do but it's easier to put MP3's onto a micro SD and plug it in the little SD slot on the front of the head unit 2008 RRS 2.7TD in Stornoway grey, black leather and 22 inch alloys

If you look at the pic of the head unit fitted you will see in the bottom left corner is the micro sd

The USB ports I use for charging like phone and stuff but could plug stick in with films or music on.

It also comes with AV cables as well but I haven't plugged them in the back as won't ever use them. Might get the reversing camera as had one with my last head unit in my last car which auto switches the screen to reversing. Did also have the DAB+ from xtrons before but didn't think it very good.

Go on Xtrons and have a look at the universal units but don't buy direct from them as more expensive than if you bought from their eBay shop

What was the issue with the steering wheel controls?

Theres three wires on the connects2 multilead KEY1, KEY2 and GND

When pushing the head unit back into the cage one of them must have caught on something and became disconnected 2008 RRS 2.7TD in Stornoway grey, black leather and 22 inch alloys
