Upgraded Steering Wheel

Finally got round to installing the heated steering wheel along with paddle shift and ACC took me a while to sort out what i needed but it’s all in and working. Has anyone else done this to a 2006?

Did my old 09 plate a few years back, only downside was then not possible to get paddle shift to work in sports mode unless there's a updated circuit board now. Plus side was mine already had the heated steering wheel wiring in the column so that bit was just basically plug and play.

Cheers

I have put all the links to what I used and the instructions on the YouTube video if that helps?

Hi, this looks like a great mod, I have a 3.6 tdv8, it’s got ACC, can the disco3 steering wheel be fitted and what is needed, I’ve done a couple of searches but there seems to be varying thoughts, and help Will be appreciated. I have attached one that id like to fit

How difficult was the ACC? What bits did you need? 2016 Black SDV8 Autobiography
2013 Grey Black Edition SDV6 (lasted a while but gone now)
2005 Grey Supercharged Sport (gone but never forgotten)

I think there is a little more involved than changing the circuit boards to retro fit ACC to a facelift variant, the radar unit or whatever they call it to start with.

Here is some parts to be going on with, how much of it is the same as those parts already fitted to a vehicle without ACC which would just need activating I wouldn't have a clue, assuming the wiring is already there as well.

Adaptive Speed Control.
The adaptive speed control system comprises the following components:
Adaptive speed control radar module
Steering wheel control switches
ECM
Throttle intake manifold - Electric throttle
ABS module and pump
Adaptive speed control warning indicator (in the instrument cluster).

Cheers

Does the op not already have ACC fitted it looks like he said it is all ready fitted so then it would only be the boards to fit as that is what i did with mine when i took my heated wheel from my Disco3 and put it on my sport Thumbs Up
