Tim,,the snow foam lance that comes standard with the Karcher washer isn’t up to much really, you need a proper lance something like this

Nice Hawkeye Yeah if the muck isn`t baked on too bad I can get away with a quick snow foam and rinse too But mine is silver and a bit more forgiving than darker colours. Steve. |

I do the same as you ^^^^^ but, would the foam stick better to a dry car and then remove the dirt more efficiently? It`s a conundrum Steve. |

I always spray foam onto a dry car then pressure wash off. The foam is there to soften and break down the dirt and after trying both methods I find the snow foam doesn’t tend to run off as quick if the car is dry before application. |

Also it’s worth mentioning it depends on what polish/wax you have on your car to how good the muck will remove from the paint, mine is waxed regularly so any muck will come off easier, but I never let mine get too bad.It was only yesterday I mentioned to swmbo that the car needs washing & she replied it looks clean,,,,may be in her eyes but not mine,if she knew how much I spend on detailing products she would probably divorce me.
