Guys

Always been a ‘AutoGlym’ guy however what’s the best polisher (as in tool) to use to get that perfect shine finish. Any recommendations ?

I use a Das 6 Pro Plus and have had it a few years now
I also have a Nano Polisher - Carbon Collective one
Both do a great job

Been looking at the maguires one ?

I use a meguiars DA and have never had a problem with it,, but a lot depends on your budget. Rupes are very popular among the more professional users. Some units have a wider throw than others. Whatever you go for get decent pads,,,,, Koch chemie, rupes, Lake country,, chemical guys are all good,,, and cheaper than meguiars. 2010 RRS, TDV8

Totally agree with gogsy, the das 6 pro is a great starter. First time using one use your lightest cut pad and compound, take your time and enjoy it, it’s a marathon on a big car, here’s a 17 year old Freelander I brought back which was really poor, and this evoque lives in Blackpool so was pretty bad, came up nice after twelve hours correction,







3 days work doing the whole car

I Own x 3 polishers. Just because my original Das 6 is an old one, that doesn't have the grunt of the newer ones, so 3" or 4" pads go on there, 2nd is an Autobirte direct da 21 (a modern das copy with plenty of grunt) 6" or even 7" pads go on there and lastly an Autobrite direct battery powered nano polishers that takes 1" and 2" pads.

Excessive yes, worth it ?, I hope the pictures answer that for a near 12 year old car?
