Got home yesterday and parked up, thought I`ll drop it down as I hadn`t done it for a while. Selected access and it dropped, no problems. When I looked on the 4x4 info on the screen, it said I`d selected off road and all the sensors jumped up to the off road position!!!

Can`t wait to get rid if I`m honest! Steve.

Mine used to do this... I would select the lowered position, it would go down, and then I would get a message saying that it has gone to offroad setting, and it would go up.

It was as if it thought that I had hit something on the way down, and had grounded out.

If I entered entry mode while I was driving slowly, it would work fine.

I have just replaced my struts (my old ones were defective), and the problem is now solved.

Just tried it and it took ages just to raise to standard. Lowered again and it said access this time. Raising is slooooooo though. Steve.

I would check the state of your struts. Mine were badly rusted at the bottom. It used to raise very slowly.

Since I have replaced the struts, it now raises quickly, and goes down fast as well.

Sounds like you've got two issues, the slow to raise is down to your compressor going weak (gonna need servicing or replacing soon) and the access to offroad is either a calibration issue or a faulty ride height sensor.

The compressor was replaced before I had it...last September. Steve.

If it detects an obstruction under the car when you try to lower it , it will automatically raise to off road height .
Other than that , I’d try a hard reset first then go down the recalibration/struts route

Disconnect battery and touch positive and negative cables together (not the actual battery terminals)
But sounds more like you have a compressor / ride height sensor issue

make sure you leave it 20 mins before shorting the leads after disconnecting there is a warning in the maintenance procedures...

When I have done this, I used one of a set of jump leads, the crocodile clips wont slip off and you can ensure the leads don't touch anything else.
