Just had a quick look at a real-life example; 2015 LR Used Approved SVR with very low mileage, £78K.

That’s who I’m financed with through magnitude. The future value on an svr isn’t much more than mine. My final

That is a little bit of a surprise to be honest, you'd think the differential would be wider but hey ho. Once I decide which way to go (which could take a while but am going to stay open minded about it) I will bear in mind the APR you mentioned and try and get it low as I can if I take this route. |

I’m hoping in 2-3 years I can get figures on an svr I can live with.

I will speak with Magnitude for sure if I take that route, heard good things about them from others too along with Oracle and some have also managed to get decent deals with Black Horse who are behind JLRFS. Ha, cheers! I will no doubt end up with even less sleep than usual overthinking it |

There isn't anything in there that isn't possible given the right (wrong) financial situation arising but it does end with the premise that in the UK the worse case scenario is very unlikely! If you go into it with your eyes open, understand the potential 'extra' costs (excess mileage, repairs etc.) then all is good. I'm still mulling over which path to take, Plan A is definitely the safer option but Plan B is more exciting! |

My last 4 or 5 cars have all been financed with PCP's. I only do about 10k a year and so a PCP works well for me. The cars have usually been worth a couple of grand more than the GFV at the end of the term which then goes towards the next deposit.

Cheers PDC for that, food for thought. I probably only do around 5K a year so half your mileage and am now leaning towards a PCP as that way I can enjoy driving a great car knowing I have the flexibility of handing back, retaining or getting another one after a couple of years; something I have never done before as always bought cash (albeit via a personal loan on some occasions). |
