I just took out a pcp on an almost 3 year old hse dynamic with 17k for £4.5k deposit and £440 per month. Yeah I’ll not own it but in 2-3 years time I’ll want to change anyway. I’d rather if I were you my £20k sitting in my account or put into something else making me money.

Yeah, I get what you're saying about keeping my money to do what I want with and even though the current RRS I've owned for 7.5 years that is rare (last two cars I had a for a year or two).

If I do go the PCP route it will be a 2/3 year old vehicle, likely an SVR if not then an SC.

If I’m in a position to next time it will be an svr. Range Rover is my wife’s and I have an S4 avant for work but might change it for a van next time. 2015 HSE Dynamic, black, 22’s

Just had a quick look at a real-life example; 2015 LR Used Approved SVR with very low mileage, £78K.

Putting down £20K then PCP over 36 months (Alphera Finance) means payments of £750 per month (APR 8.2%).

You'd think after another 3 years a well preserved SVR would still hold decent value so on the surface that looks decent?

As RRSMan mentioned though I guess the haggling for a lower APR is key.

Payment is £35k and similar age and mileage svr is £40k. You would think it would have a far greater value in 3 years.

I’m hoping in 2-3 years I can get figures on an svr I can live with.
Speak with magnitude finance they were easy to deal with and had everything sorted pretty quick for me.

I will speak with Magnitude for sure if I take that route, heard good things about them from others too along with Oracle and some have also managed to get decent deals with Black Horse who are behind JLRFS.

Too many people don’t understand what they are signing up to with a pcp. They just see new car and small payments.
I took one as it suits me. I’m well aware of excess mileage charges etc if I was to hand it back. 2015 HSE Dynamic, black, 22’s
