Not repairable?

Even if officially not (due to size) by the usual companies, I might be tempted to have a go with a cheap DIY kit myself rather than have the thing replaced. Always a worry having a new screen - will all the gadgets still work (they're meant to be recalibrated), will there be a leak, will he be any wind noise, etc.

Windscreen cover was another one of the reasons I chose NFU insurance, who allow you to chose your own repairer (extra £20 on the excess) rather than get stuck with their approved repairer. I would take mine to the dealer, who would probably supply their own screen and get auto glass to come and fit it. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

I paid my renewal yesterday with Nfu!
I’m hoping they will pay for genuine. My local windscreen co want £535 for a LR one. The screens on the 90 are tiny but obviously pricey.

Both chips are next to each other with little cracks. I don’t think a repair will be good enough to not drive me insane.
If it wasn’t in direct eye line I would ignore it until I had to replace for an MOt or it got worse. Grrrr. 2012 Evoque

I had my windscreen replaced by Autoglass, they sent a technician who was qualified in fitting screens that need to be calibrated. The screen they fitted was a LR screen although the techie reckoned there is no difference in branded or non-branded and that they come from the same place. The work was done very well, calibration got everything working and leaks or other issues. I'm also insured with NFU.

RRS sold and replaced with a Skoda Kodiaq after appalling RR Dealer experience and LR inability to supply new cars in any sort of reasonable time frame..

Looks like it was worth staying with Nfu even though they were more than everyone else. I’ll ring them in the morning 2012 Evoque

I have just been emailed a 'Customer Personalisation Record' to complete regarding the settings I require on the car. They have also confirmed that my exits will be completed this time next week.

Sure does.....
But it is the first timeI have completed a form like that. It asks for all my preferences and is being forwarded to JLR and they will complete the set up, for infotainment, Telephone, radio favourites, security features.

Just hope the bloody car works

I was beginning to think about it, nearly a year now.....

They have given me a good package and I have had a courtesy car from JLR since September, I am actually starting to get used to it.. Quite pokey for a diesel.

Having said that I can't wait to get mine, which hopefully, will be trouble free

If not, then it will be 'Bye Bye' just give me my money back and i'll go and buy a Mustang
