Where do JLR not have problems Rolling with laughter

ON a serious note have you driven a TDv8? The V6 is a brilliant all round engine and personally i don't see why anyone would go for the TDv8 over it. Look at the figures there is hardly anything between them both:

V8: 4.4 Litre Diesel 339 BHP 740 Torque

V6: 3.0 Litre Diesel 306 BHP 700 Torque

The v6 would be much more fuel economical too - if you really wanted the power go for the V6 or v8 petrol?

I would rather have a V8 than a V6 at least they don't snap cranks as it seems to becoming more common incident Thumbs Up

V8 is much better to drive. V6 looks almost as good on numbers but it’s a different beast. IMHO

Not driven a V8 RRS but in the FFRR it just sounded unnecessarily noisy and was horrid on fuel! How does the V6 petrol compare then?

I'm sure their isn't that much difference in fuel economy with the V6 SC compared to the V8 SC,its no good going by the LR actual figures as the are always way out.Ive had 2x sdv6 one in a RRS1 & the other in a RRS2 & neither gave more than 28mpg.Plus the V8 petrol is a lot more fun.

Where does your "quite a few" information come from?

Do you have definitive numbers?

@DM - friend of mine has the V8, loves it. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.
