There site says you can but if your having issues then it could be for any reason that land rover are not disclosing like when they binned the 3.6 because of emissions

My guess would be supply issues, when I was at the factory last week they were building cars with the SDV8. Based on the info on the build cards and what the guide told me the SDV8 is built abroad, think it was somewhere in south america so maybe that could be the issue?

Oh so you saw them building MY18 RRS/RR cars with the SDV8 engine ?

I've been told there's a stop on them and its looking like maybe July or August before any come through ?

Sounds like there's either a delay or they're about to kill the engine off for either the L494, L405, both or just the UK market.

I did indeed, not sure if it was going in FFRR or RRS as I ddin't pay that much attention, also can't confirm if it was LHD / RHD.

But the engine was going in cars.

IMO don't think they would kill the SDV8 as I think its the preferred option for the FFRR

Still think it's either supply issues or maybe they are having issues fulfilling PhEV orders and are trying to simplify the build process?

Maybe call a dealer and ask for a delivery date for a SDv8 full fat?

L494 SDV8 is going into a holding queue or something

Who knows ?

Apparently the normal 5ltr and 3ltr L494 are also going into holding queues.

I know L494s were being held up due to specific options like rear entertainment screens and exec seating was holding up L405s.

Sigh.

There should be no reason why SDV8 L494/L405 vehicles should not be being knocked out by April.

So its strange why their are no slots available for them.

I'm waiting to hear back on Monday but apparently its all a bit weird with L405/L494 ordering at the moment so who knows.

Lets see what happens - I was kind of set on the 4.4 SDV8 now as well !

Right, order placed, sat in holding pool, lets see what happens.

You know i,m still not clear how this ordering process works, you order the car then it sits in a holding pool , this means what and then what happens?  SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

Once in the holding pool I think they apply various beta patches to the software to see if they can make it work, give it a quick drive round the block, trying carefully not to press any buttons and then ship it out to the dealer !
