Gearbox fault

My 2013 L494 has started to hold in 7th gear, if I then go to command shift and do it manually it changes up ok. Has anybody experienced this fault? Crying or Very sad RRS2 HSE Chile Red

Hi had a similar problem with my previous model sport, dealers explaination was that they did something with the control software and that fixed it. Whatever it was it worked. Thumbs Up

Then it may need a software update from dealer or through an IDD tool Thumbs Up

The older L320 model can have a known fault with gearbox not changing up that is related to failed or incorrectly fitted stop/tail bulbs (makes the car think it is braking when it isn't).

Have you had anything done to the rear lights recently? 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Thanks for the info Paddi, the car went in its annual service in Nov but prior to that no probs and no work on the brake lights either, although upgrading the front headlights would't go amiss. Makes you think Question RRS2 HSE Chile Red

Ahh. I see Exclamation

That explains it. Couldn’t understand why a bulb could cause so many random faults in the rest of the car’s systems. Robin
