Run together you will get much better performance, only reason really for getting hybrid, and save on my Road Tax bill of course.

Especially true in the North, where the government has scrapped electrification plans in favour of new (and slower) diesel trains. (I was, of course, being sarcastic about the 'touchy feely' factor). |

The changes will not suddenly make your care dated if it's going to be a MY17, as the external changes are quite small. It's a facelift, rather than a new model. Opinions vary as to when it will be on the road, but someone on here literally asked a LR driver of a disguised MY2018 and he suggested it would be MY18.5, which is still a long way off. Also, have you seen a Velar interior? It's not to everyone's taste and you have to like touch screens. The facelift model will not come with the discounts that you presumably got on your Autobiography either.

Have they? I thought there were months left to get a MY17, at least anything coming out the factory before December, possibly later. |

Yes, there's plenty of MY17's around to buy, but not new factory orders. In other words, you'd have to get one 'off the shelf' now. |

If you got a big discount, I presume it is a MY17. It seems late to get a factory order, but maybe the dealer had a slot available (maybe a cancelled order prior to the order becoming fixed, assuming you got a choice of spec.). |

Yes we were in a dealers last Friday and were told the factory order book was closed for my17 so we would need to take one from run out unallocated stock, we wanted an AB with stealth pack & a few extras, only one available on the system in a light colour that had what we wanted but it was allocated, decided to wait now until my18 unless one of the dealers I discussed terms with manages to find me what I want in September at the right price of course! |

Also always keep an eye open on the New/Used LR car lists, but your dealer should have access to that. John

I had an email from a dealership this week offering up to £4000 LR contribution to a new car, 5 years servicing agreement for free, free wheel and tyre insurance and a couple of other things thrown in against an order for a MY2017. Pity that they don't up the subs for the Incontrol up from 3 to 5 years as well if you take out the service agreement, if you keep the car serviced within the network and they have issued 5 years servicing why not throw in the top-up Incontrol fee up to 5 years too?

I presume this is an existing car or order they're offering, with a pre-designated spec.?
