Welcome to the forum. If you are on a tight budget then you should also look for a 2005/2006 4.4V8 which isn't supercharged but almost goes as quickly and burns about the same amount of fuel and was way less popular so a lot less around and cheaper to buy than the 4.2........ The 4.4 was discontinued in RRS in late 2006 when the TDv8 was launched. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Thanks Tim. We've not really seen any 4.4s so we've concentrating on the supercharged Jaguar engine. Now Mrs rpaterson has started mentioning diesel instead. There's another can of worms to weigh up in these modern times! |

David welcome to the club, interesting colour scheme - is it a Vesuvius 1st Edition Supercharged from 2005 or a resprayed later TDv6 with contrast roof? Interesting that it has L494 RRS wheels, I thought the hubs were different.... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Thanks for the welcome Tim, it's a 2011 SDV6, It's had a bit of a conversion by Bespoke which includes the autobiography body kit and a rather subtle retrim of the interior , I don't think it will be to everyone's taste but both myself and the wife wanted something a little different.

Good to see somebody isn't frightened of buying something a bit different! You will have to come and get it dirty on a Scottish Green Road Club drive out sometime............. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Hi all , I've just joined the forum as it seems to full of useful info and helpful members, I've recently purchased a 2006 RRS 2.7tdv6, her happy with it so far, but a few niggles to sort out so you will probably be seeing a few posts from me if I can't search the answers |
