Rear door off-side seal torn

Hi - I have had my RRS for 2months and noticed that on the weekend that the passenger door seal on the drivers side has torn - is this covered by warranty? I am taking it to the dealer tomorrow.

has anyone else had this happen?

Will post photo when I learn how CURRENT: 3.0TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey, Privacy Glass, Rear DVDs, Extended Leather

Exactly the same problem on a Sept delivered MY10 - rear near-side door seal split. I was told it hadn't been installed quite right and it was replaced under warranty.

I would imagine it will be covered by warranty. Interestingly, I took delivery of my new RRS in early Jan during
the really cold weather and my dealer made a point of putting some lubricant on all the door seals
to stop them freezing & tearing. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Dealer confirmed that a new door seal is required. Waited 30mins to be seen, 30seconds later confirmation of the split, dealer will order a new one and ring me to fit. Said it would take 10mins to fit.

Funny, having owned many cars over the last 20year, from fiats to bmws, never had a door seal go before - on inpsection they are quite thin compared to other cars.

I've only just replaced the door seal on my VW Camper 1976!!

LR need to make sure they don't reduce costs too much at the detriment of quality. CURRENT: 3.0TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey, Privacy Glass, Rear DVDs, Extended Leather

Hi guys,

I need to replace the door seal on the passenger side behind the driver. It seems to run through a plastic plate of some sort at the foot of the door - SEE PIC.

Can this be easily removed and replaced?

Sadly the pic has loaded incorrectly. If you turn 90 degrees to the right you get the correct image. RRS 2011. 5L, S/c in Sumatra Black. She's lurvely.

It is easy enough to remove, it just pull up but it might be advisable to get a couple of spare clips as sometimes they disappear down inside the bodywork or they can distort. especially if they have possibly been removed before.

Clip IPN500090 about 50p each.

Cheers
Col
