I've started to this showing on the screen recently. Do I need to upgrade the satnav disc?

clean it first i had it on mine your dvd drive may be on its way out bt give it a try with the cleaning disc first

I'll give that a try, cheers. Also just ordered a 2015 updated disc so at least I've got the latest maps.

Latest maps should now be the 2017 version, not sure if the same applies to disc version? But would have thought so, have a check on the "HERE" site, official LR map site.
You most probably know, but discs can get dirty, greasy etc, just remember to clean them from the centre straight outwards towards the edge, never in circles as can permanently damage the disc, use a soft lint cloth with cleaning solution, blow across the disc first to remove loose dust/particles, to prevent scratching or damaging disc.
The laser if on way out or gone can be replaced relatively easily, you see replacements on EBay at times too. John

Land Rover only do update discs up till 2012 after that there are no newer discs for the older style dvd drive if you want newer it will be a disc from ebay but not official

All fixed. I ran a cleaner disc through it but also bought a new upgraded 2014/15 map DVD and all is well. The cleaner may have fixed it on its own but for an extra £30 at least I have more up to date maps.
