Yeah it`ll be 4.2 in my price range. The Scooby mpg was the same as the M3 and my current ST....22 - 24 mpg.....maybe I don`t drive them hard enough. Laughing

New member says Hello

Hi, I've just joined this forum having been on Freel2 for a while as I'm looking to replace my current LR and am considering RRS.
I've had a look at the new Discovery Sport which I like and the new Discovery which I like a lot but is a bit too big for my needs. So I am now looking at what RRS can offer. And it is my birthday soon so it's time to get what I really want! DESIRED - RRS for my birthday
CURRENT - '13 SD4 XS Freelander Orkney Grey
GONE - '07 TD4 GS Freelander manual Zermatt Silver
LONG GONE - '55 Norton Dominator 99 SS cafe racer

Hi To one and all

I have been a FFRR owner for many years and currently have a Santori Black 5Lt AB with the piano black interior. I was thinking about going for a new AB but then thought I would have a look at the RRS SVR. Had a drive in one the other week and was totally hooked.
The smile I have constantly had with my FFRR 5lt over the last number of years will hopefully change to a wild grin !!
Anyway, I have been reading various threads and as interested in the one regarding Finance and the member KMPowell who seems extremely knowledgeable.
May I ask a question if I may?
I was thinking about going the PCP way but putting as much down as possible to reduce the monthly cost. Question. Is it better to do this or to save the money and use against the RV at the end?
I was interested in the fact that you can approach Lloyds. Could you approached say Santander ?

Also whist, asking. Has anyone seen one in Borealis Black ?

Anyway, look forward to hearing from you?

Cheers
Nod

Hi Nod1,

You can build your own on a Land Rover website and have a good idea what Borealis Black will look like, not the same as in the flesh though. Note there are 2 options for this black, satin and gloss and has an additional premium of £3,500.

Cheers

Hi
I bit the bullett end of last month. Have a delivery date around May/June.

Wanted something a little different as all previous RR's have been black. Was a little supervised that they have no arm rests Big Cry Big Cry but I guess you won't have time to relax once the beast is let lose he he

Cheers
N

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Java Black

hi there all, newbe here, the site and info is really good. I have an 06 HSE 4.4 which I love to bits, wish I had the money to buy one years ago!
live in the Watford area of Hertforshire and the car could do with a service (the service since mileage thing tells me its -650 miles when you put the key in the ignition) and wondered if anyone can recommend the best indy specialist in the area to take it to?

Well I have one on order. No demo available at the time, but did try the disco 5 with the new 2.0 litre engine and wasn't dissapointed. Very quiet and lively engine. Certainly a step up from my 2.2 litre Evoque Dynamic. Bearing in mind the the disco 5 is heavier I think it will be fine and it's the latest engine technology.
Only minor regret is not considering the air suspension option at the time of order.

England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Hi all, I'm Richard and have just bought a RRS 06 in Java black last Saturday. There are some slight modifications and I have a few tasteful changes planned. I'm hoping to contribute and assist others if I can as I'm a mechanical, electrical and electronic engineer when I'm at work. Due to the nature of my job I only work a 2:2 month rotation so spend 6 months a year twiddling my thumbs in the UK so have time on my hands to have a tinker with things.
