I have 13 pin towing electrics fitted and they have been enabled by an independent specialist.
When I select "Mud and Ruts", I get a warning flash up saying "Trailer Connected" (or very similar).
Is this normal?
Any chance someone else with a MY12 and 13pin fitted check for me? Visitor from fullfatrr.com

Just tried mine for you, "Mud and Ruts" no warnings except select low range.
However mine is a 2011 with 13 pin electrics fitted by main dealer. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Dr Rob, I've just checked on my 2012 and the only message is advise select low range, I have 7 pin tow electrics fitted and coded by Bodsy. Is the coding incorrect or a fault with the connections?
