Range rover sport 2.7 tdv6 noise on starting

Hi all looking for some more advice regarding my rrs. Its a bit of a strange one really every time I start from cold I get a slight top end rattle from the right bank and was wondering if anyone has had similar. I'm thinking it's timing chain rattle or soft lifter? Any advice would be great as I'm going to pull it apart! Oh it's a tdv6 2.7 done 78k

For a second or 2, until the oil pressure warning goes out?

Spain

Timing belt on a 2.7

A little more info might help

Does your oil warning light extinguish straight away when you start the car?
How long does the rattle last?

What have you done to the car recently, e.g. Has it had a recent oil and filter change? In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Yes aware it is timing belt but also has timing chains to sync the camshafts

That's normal. All 2.7's do it

The chains are spring loaded, and oil damped Thumbs Up

Spain

Could be dry cam followers/tappets on the camshaft, basically waiting for the oil pressure to build up.
Worth checking the HPFP belt on the rear of the engine.
EGR valve starting to play up.

What year is the car In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures

Sorry for reviving this old topic: is this a common item on the 2.7 engine what disco mickey mentions?

Hi

It's difficult to be sure without hearing that actual car but; I had mine for 7 years and there was always a slight rattle on start -up. Over in an instant and fine from there on.
