No, those are housing the "corner" light spots, below 30 km/h when cornering those are working, if you have adaptive headlights! |

Nothing inside those ovals at all apart from some reflective "headlamp jewellry" on mine, which has adaptive bi Xenons.

They absolutely are not in that oval on my car, and yes I have double checked. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

Has two LEDs facing down, for corner lighting and also for Flashing, based on the size they looks like 1 or 3w LEDs.

I think Renaco's answer is correct, I have just found the description on the configurator and it says they are static bending lamps to light the kerbside area in tight bends (with the ADAPTIVE XENON HEADLIGHTS options).

100% they are the cornering lights. I think you get them regardless of adaptive headlights. My adaptive headlights swivel as I turn gentle corners, but those oval cornering lights come on on sharp'ish bends as well. It's very noticeable.

Never let it be said that I don't admit when I am wrong. So:

Same. But also find they come on when passing very close to an object. When I drive out of my driveway I pass very close to a brick wall and I find the right side lamp turns on and lights up the wall then turns off when passed. |

I believe that only cars with adaptive xenon headlights have these little led cornering lights fitted. My car certainly has not got them fitted and I do not have adaptive headlights. So if you have adaptive headlights you have them, if not stop looking., they are not there.
