United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Just signed up, so hello to all you lucky chaps with RRS's on your drives or on order. Have just bought an XKR (my 2nd) and am thinking the RRS is the next car for me, unlesss I can convince the Mrs to trade her P38 for one, but she wants the new regular RR.

Great site, keep the pics of your new RRS's coming.

Gazzer,
Get one, no honestly I had a P38 2000 which I loved but saved up for the Sport and it's just the best.
I've had mine 2 weeks and it's the best car i have ever had!!
I tried the regular RR last year and it felt too big and slow (ish). The sport is a different car altogether.
Mines a diesel and very impressed.
This site is good too.
hello there. this is my first post. tdv6se owner since end of sept 05

Hi Guest!

Thanks for that, trouble is I've just spent a shed load on a new XKR. Like you say, I love my P38 but it doesn't tick all the boxes. I need something sporty. The RRS gets my attention but I will have this car for a while before I make a change.

Post some pics of your Sport when you can.

Welcome to the board.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Welcome Rob, bit of a change of mind wasn't it - go in for a Feelander and come out with an RRS! Mind you i cannot talk, I took my L322 Range Rover TD6 in for a service on the RRS launch day and went home with an RRS TDv6 that was supposed to have been the dealer's demo car - it was delivered a week later!
So what version/spec did you end up with - you could have had 2 Freelanders for that price too! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Hi all...........doing a bit of snooping to find out all about the new rangie sport........i'm slowly making a move from 911's to boxster S via a cayenne S and presently an M3..........just adopted 2 kids and taken up shooting so need a suitable vehicle with which to cover all bases.........have been considering the rangie sport diesel as well as the new ML320cdi (don't flame me yet) and also the Disco3 , i like the looks of the sport most but the performance of the Merc appeals......any opinions most welcome.......

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Bonatti Grey

I come from an old shape ML which also had much better performance than the Sport. However, I'd never go back. While the Sport might not be fast, it's a different sort of drive and suprisingly is much more rewarding.
I've not yet had a good look at the new ML properly. I coudn't wait for it, so decided to get a Sport before the new ML came out. Since seing the ML on the road, I'm glad I went for the Sport. Matt

RRS ownership for 1 yr, then D3 for 2 yrs. Then cut back to old bangers and working my way back up through two Peugeots in 6 months. Now got Saab 9-5 2.3t and enjoying the performance!

Hi everyone,

Just swapped my wife's SL55 AMG for a Black 1st edition S/C. Whilst she loved the SL, with 2 young kids, and it being a 2 seater, it was sat in the garage doing no miles with the battery going flat every 2 weeks!
So far so good, she's over the moon with her pimpmobile (is it me, or does privacy glass, but not on the front windows, look daft?).
I have an 04 Zambezi Silver RR Td6 Vogue which has done 32k and only broken down once (on the way to France, fully clobbered up with kids and ski gear!), which replaced a one year old identical car which ended up on low-loaders 12 times!! So, here's hoping that a completely new model won't have the "Ford bits grafted onto BMW bits" problems of the RR.

Expect to spend Sunday morning learning the toys. Hopefully the linguatronic will understand my Lancashire accent, unlike the Merc!

David

India 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Greetings from number 200

Indeedy I'm the 200th registered user....Hi All and big hey to Martin on a fantastic forum Laughing
Have been following the threads for 2-3 months in course of doing the standard due diligence for buying an RRS HSE TDV6. Typically went through the initial scares of leaking sunroofs, flooded floors, dodgy air suspensions, vibrating steerings et al but persevered in no small measure due to perspective exhibited time & again by guys posting here.
After several test drives just had to have it. Went an ordered ze beaut yesterday Very Happy RRS HSE TDV6 Java Black, Rhodium finish, black interior, with sunroof, cold climate pack. Now, where I currently live, life is very interesting - the monopolist dealer and I dont speak any common languages Shocked so its a lot of miming and pointing but here's what I gathered:
1)April 06 delivery Sad
2)HSE TDV6 does not come with adaptive cruise control (after all posts here had me pining for this toy).
3)Unclear but belive that Dynamic Stability Control is standard, however, Dynamic Pack is an expensive option (includes 20" Storm wheels, adaptive headlights and Brembo brakes). Gave the option a pass.
4)Asked for Manuals Anglais (guess there's nothing else where the language can't be altered - SAT NAV, voice control etc).
So, there it is. So near yet so far, as someone once said.
