I believe the next base is good for within your 100 budget you have set.

I have a nextbase 402g installed, it's good but they all suffer from internal battery fail normally around 10 months, so then it's back to the seller to try claim for a repair under warranty, if your lucky it fails well with in 12 months. Mine died at 11 months so I had to buy my own internal battery (took a lot of googling to find the right one) and begin minor surgery replacing it.

I've got the thinkware 770 & it's a good bit of kit with many useful features but they are 250.
Buckster,,I have the Thinkware 770 & was going to set it so it records when parked up but I'm worried about my battery going flat on the car as I have it hardwired.Have you connected yours to a battery pack.? Also mine seems to take about 40 minutes driving before the gps connects,at first I thought it was where I had it mounted so I moved it & it's still the same. Andy. I have a Thinkware 770 hardwired in mine and have never had a battery issue, it is voltage sensed which you can set in the menu so it switches off if battery starts to get low. GPS connects within a minute or so but it is a RRS1 and not a solar whatever windscreen.

What Col said, I have it hard wired and all ThinkWare have a voltage drop sensor that will switch it off if battery gets to low. I do sometimes get the GPS connection straight away and other times it can take a while before it connects. I have a work colleague that has one and his does the same 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black 2013 SDV6 HSE Black Edition- Orkney Grey with Ebony & Ivory. I think you should only be paying around £199.00 for the Thinkware F770 UK, not the £250 stated. I purchased one last week at the £199.00 Front & Rear HD. John

other option is buy a F750, and do the firmware upgrade to the F770, as per flydrives thread a week or so ago
