What dash cam

Think it's time for a dash cam
After having someone pull out on me and now my car is in body shop and I am driving a c1 😡😡😡😡😡
The other driver said I run a red light funny how no other cars at the junction pulled off the same time as he did not even till we had moved to a safer spot as there lights were on RED

so what dash cams are good for around 100 61 AB 5.0 supercharged rocket

I believe the next base is good for within your 100 budget you have set.

I personally use a ThinkWare X550 front and Rear and it's a great bit of kit. Even records while parked incase someone hits you Thumbs Up 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

I have a nextbase 402g installed, it's good but they all suffer from internal battery fail normally around 10 months, so then it's back to the seller to try claim for a repair under warranty, if your lucky it fails well with in 12 months. Mine died at 11 months so I had to buy my own internal battery (took a lot of googling to find the right one) and begin minor surgery replacing it.

This would be my next choice
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/part...AmB-8P8HAQ

Can take a 64gb card where the nextbase is maxed at 32gb.

This guy is on another forum I frequent, I also subscribe to his you tube channel, but this definitely highlights the usefulness

I've got the thinkware 770 & it's a good bit of kit with many useful features but they are 250.

Buckster,,I have the Thinkware 770 & was going to set it so it records when parked up but I'm worried about my battery going flat on the car as I have it hardwired.Have you connected yours to a battery pack.?
Also mine seems to take about 40 minutes driving before the gps connects,at first I thought it was where I had it mounted so I moved it & it's still the same.

I have a Thinkware 770 hardwired in mine and have never had a battery issue, it is voltage sensed which you can set in the menu so it switches off if battery starts to get low. GPS connects within a minute or so but it is a RRS1 and not a solar whatever windscreen.

Cheers

Andy.

What Col said, I have it hard wired and all ThinkWare have a voltage drop sensor that will switch it off if battery gets to low.

I do sometimes get the GPS connection straight away and other times it can take a while before it connects. I have a work colleague that has one and his does the same Rolling Eyes 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

I think you should only be paying around £199.00 for the Thinkware F770 UK, not the £250 stated. I purchased one last week at the £199.00 Front & Rear HD. Whistle John

other option is buy a F750, and do the firmware upgrade to the F770, as per flydrives thread a week or so ago

My F750 is loads more responsive now, with quicker connection to GPS and the time lapse parking is better

You just dont get a as neat look as the F770, but might be cheaper Idea

Thanks Col, I looked there and the 770 with F & R cameras was 249, front only @199.

I was just wondering where the 770 F&R is available @199 as per Johnski's post

@npinks, yes, the 750 & upgrade is certainly an option, will look into that. Just started the search for a new dashcam since my 3 year old blackvue seems to be on its way out!

The F&r are available from thinkware at 199 but with the 16gb instead of the 32.
