Thanks for them, Think I'm going to just replace the cap for now, I can't hear my compressor, well it's definately not abnormal sounding if that makes sense, plus I havnt got a jack yet so I could just about get underneath it to get the cover off. Although the single 10mm bolt snapped straight off, the 2 others Ho,ding the cover on we're t30 torx so a good soak in wd40 and they came out easy as pie. Nope changed my mind, just ordered a complete rebuild kit, looks simple enough. Just need to try borrow a jack now.lol Last edited by Danv8 on Fri Sep 16 2016 10:08am. Edited 1 time in total |

Please ensure it's a good jack and use axle stands to, don't rely on the jack on its own. The jack must be a minimum 3 Ton capability one to lift vehicle safely. Use the blocks each side of wheel other corner to ensure it won't roll (normally part of tool kit in boot section under floor.) John

Well jack arrived today, and so I set to work removing the compressor, I persevered and removed all the airlines with out the need to cut and add connectors, just took a wee bit of wd40 and patience. Fitted the replacement filters, granuals and cap easily but trying to match up the o rings, all I can guess is I got sent the wrong ones as not one matched! They were either too big too small or to thin! So I ended up just replacing the piston seal liner and chamber gasket, and gave up with o rings. I did try contacting them but with time not on my side I just had to get it back together and on the car.

Hi, just got your pm and have sent the links from where I got the above kits, yours looks like far worse than mine, I just had the light come on, first I would get someone to try raise and lower it and you listen to hear if your compressor is actually working, if not check fuses etc otherwise it then may be a case of a new or replacement motor or complete unit. If it is working, then ide follow the pipes incase one has split, again it's a case for listening for air leaks or use a high soapy solution and mist it over the pipes, any leaks will cause bubbles.
