Shortbread...they replaced my disks, it didn't work. Rolling Eyes

I spoke to the boss at my local Indy Land Rover specialist to gauge his opinion...if it was his car he would reject it.

He wouldn't modify my brake pads if I took the car to him in the future, because of liability issues.

I don't understand why there is now a problem with the Brembo set up on the rear wheels now?

I ran my last L494 RRS Dynamic for 2.5 years covering 28,000. This had Brembo's fitted but I never had any problems with squeaking?

Something must have changed?

Been advised by the service department tghey are fitting "modified brake pads" to cure the brake squeak. Probably same fix as others. Will see if it works when I get the car back. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Well I had a quick chat with my friendly LR salesman who confirmed that LR have apparently issued a bulletin regarding this squealing brakes issue. Apparently the discs should be replaced.

I am taking this with a pinch of salt, at it is coming from the sales team so maybe BS. Laughing

Anyone else heard about this one?

As per my post above - pads changed twice and discs also changed - squeak came back again!

Mine is in the dealer now.

OK so...since mine has been in before when they fitted the shaved pads, Land Rover have changed the composite of the brake pad but are still saying these need to be shaved.

Mine went in for the day on Thursday, for the 3rd time since I picked the car up in June.

All was fine on the trip home, then the squeal came back on Friday morning. I immediately called the dealership who have now ordered the modified parts from Land Rover. They assure me that this will fix the problem once and for all.

I am starting to loose faith in Lamd Rover and the supplying dealership.......... Sad

Maybe it is the front left its hard to pinpoint. Mine isn't all the time though only when coming to a stop at slow speed.

Mine was also only on light braking at slow speeds. Fixed after "modified" pads. For now at least. Only picked up the car yesterday so not sure if the fix will last. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
