Hi - took the leap this week and bought a 2013 RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Come from a 10 & half year old Honda CR-V (from new, parted company at104K, running perfectly - gotta love Japanese cars!)
and have to say vehicles usually to me are pretty much a means of getting from A to B (I'm 46 - the RRS will only be my 5 vehicle!)

BUT - haven't stopped grinning like a goon since had the RRS - especially when I balanced the sound system properly - better Hi-Fi than I have at home (and Audio/Visual is one of my interests and hobbies - so do have nice set-ups at home!)

So, a big Hello from me (and a thank you for an interesting forum - already answered some of my queries - especially the Auto-Wiper issue!!!)

i went for the TDV8 because i already drive a v8 audi s4 convertible and thought id find it hard not have that v8 sound
and im really surprised at the sound the v8 diesel has
so i will be using this forum to help me keep the car up to scratch and also to make it better

Hi All,

I've been lurking for a few days as we are looking to buy a RRS in the not too distant future.

Over the last 30 years or so I have built up a great deal of LR experience - Series III, 90 and 110 Defenders and 101 Forward Controls in the Army followed by owning 88" Series IIA, RR Classic V8 and Discovery 300TDI Commercial I have Land Rover in my blood. I currently run a Facelift TD5 Discovery for work and I am very happy with it.

As we are getting a older climbing out of my wife NC MX5 is becoming more and more of a challenge we are planning to replace it. The most likely candidate is a 2007ish 2.7 HSE. So I will be avidly searching and reading this forum, please forgive any questions that have already been asked!

First things I plan on doing is replace
The worn bonnet letters, fit painted
door handles, headlight washers,
front grille and side vents.
I was going to get these from powerfuluk.
Has anyone used these guys ??

Cheap and nasty when it comes to roof rails don't know about the lettering etc. Replaced my bonnet lettering last year but used gen.. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

hello, I have just joined and a week ago purchased my RRS tdv6 2006, needless to say I'm over the moon with it, I've wanted one since they were first released but always been out of my price range and still are but after a couple of good car sales and a bit of saving I managed it, CD player is a bit faulty and front 12v socket isn't working but I will sort them out, other then that all seems OK.

after years of driving mostly Vauxhalls this just oozes quality and is so refined, I love driving it and love being seen in it, I've basically got the car I've always wanted and chuffed to bits about it.

So, I picked up the RRS yesterday and I love it.
Only thing I just noticed is a rubbery squeak from the front
Suspension when going over speed humps!!!!!

Welcome to the Forum/Club, and too any other new members missed.
It may be best to post your question up on main sections, as people don't always pick up on all new members.
If already answered elsewhere, great, but with a LR warranty in force (I presume) any faults are best sorted by supplying Dealer under this rather than attempting any repairs yourself. Not had this myself so cannot help.  John
