Alarm keeps going off, saying on dash Bonnet Open, even though it appears to be closed!

This has happened to me, after topping up fluids, if I close the bonnet gently then use hands to lock it.(pushing down on bonnet using hands) On locking car it bleeps and it's always the bonnet, so I drop it closed from mid height and all is ok. Why it does this I don't know, it always looks fully down and held on car he's, but will look into it when I have more time. Try it and see if it clears your fault. Otherwise may just require adjustment, or replacement. John

Crook bonnet switch right hand side under the right hand bonnet catch. (From drivers seat view)

If you unplug the sensor you can bridge the connection with a paperclip or similar. Stop alarm going off in the mean time, then yoe might as well just replace as theyre only cheap.

Hi Guys thanks for your input, today I got an original latch from Lookers Park Royal, and hey presto problem solved. Total cost £23.00.
