Flush at £250 or recon the gearbox at £1800. Hardly surprising which one they'd like you to do.

Is it still possible to have the gearbox flushed if it states in the manual 'filled for life' ?

Hi Pete, How is it that your 2006 is still under warranty? I know I'm in Canada but I'm still wondering how a 10 year old RRS can still get an extended warranty. Is that the case or are there some components of Land Rovers that are warrantied for life.... ? |

Haha mine was. It saved me 30k worth of repairs and maintenance, not to mention the loaner fees. |

Only got the car a month ago. The garage gave me a 3 month warranty. |

Yes I have seen Doug DeMuro on youtube recommending bumper to bumper warranties on your side of the pond. |

He is legally responsible anyway. The warranty is his attempt to get someone else to blame... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

If anything is found wrong with a used car purchased from a dealer in the UK, they have to by law repair it, if the fault appears in a reasonable amount of time. Trading Standards are saying minimum of a year.

So, back to the powerflush. Does the flush include the torque converter or is it just the gearbox? |
