Car booked in for flush. The oil is £20 a litre. New filter and pan kit is £130. All in its costing over £400+ VAT. Better be worth it.

That's not a power flush, that's a standard Land Rover filter and fluid. A power/mega flush would be £250ish. The standard filter and fluid change doesn't change all of the oil - it changes about half of it because much of the oil is held in the torque converter and doesn't drain when you take the pan off. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Yes it's being powerflushed. And having new filter and pan fitted at the same time.

That'll use a bit of oil then. You'll lose half of it when you drop the pan then presumably it needs to be filled to level before the powerflush because the oil needs to be at a certain temperature which requires the gearbox to be run. So you're using 1.5 times the normal amount of oil. Is this at a LR dealership? If so, check they are actually going to do a dialysis flush rather than what they call a flush - which is as I described earlier just a flush of the box. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Think the garage will change filter and pan after the flush once the old oil has been removed and new oil replaced. They are also putting some sort of treatment/additive in with new oil.

Car running nice and smooth. Should be at just over £500 for megaflush 9 litres of oil and new pan and filter.
