Push Button Start / Stop - Is upgrade possible for pre 2010

Hi all

Is it possible to add the push button start / stop as an upgrade for the 2005 - 2009 RRS?

I had this feature in my last couple of cars and its great, i find that the key in the steering column is obscured in the RRS and the push button would be a great upgrade if it didn't prove costly / unreliable etc

Genuine LR kit would be preferred rather than cheap eBay alternatives.

Thanks

Carl

Having it in the ash tray wasn't in my plans but the button itself looks ok, don't think its the same as the 2010 OEM is it though ?.

The above was actually in response to your first question - that it's possible. Wink Malaysia Boleh!

Sorry to bump a very old post. But I was wondering if this has been done yet, without the button in the ashtray? I also would like it to be genuine LR, but if not, I'd consider aftermarket kits..

Any ideas?!?

You would still need the use of the key for ignition lock, ignition on etc so a pretty pointless gimmick to me. I had the same in my old DC5 and RS4, you use the key for ignition then a button, completely pointless

I couldn't just disable the steering lock?

Exactly, Honda S2000 uses the same trick which is utterly annoying. Regards etc.,
