Got mine from Direct 4X4, arrived within three days and I live in Belgium. Quick and easy to install.

With the ones from direct 4x4, what material are the brackets and is it recommended to waxoyl them prior to fitting to prevent corrosion. The description on site simply states material is aluminium and the brackets are powder coated in which case it may not be worth the extra effort.

You can get these OEM look a likes and others on EBay from about five main companies with prices from £118-£258 what the differences are I don't know, except that the cheaper ones are very low (13 Stone) on weight loading while others go up to 18 stone, so watch that point. These are still less than a third of the price of genuine ones (£600+) but are now discontinued by LR and dealership won't fit snide ones. I would treat at minimum the nuts/bolts etc which look quite cheap, and even if galvanised, they won't be once you have tightened them up, so meaning possible rust problems in future.
Some use rubber for top surface some a cheaper plastic and another material I couldn't make out and supplier didn't know anything technical about them, just the answer our supplier doesn't know or not available. Reports have also been given of holes not lining up properly.
So please check they are of quality you want and basically can do the job, most do.  John

Haven't seen any advertised that mention the load limit so I guess a call to supplier needed.
What solution is recommended to coat the rivets and bolts after fitting and the alluminium trim at the edge? -----------------------------------------------
