Well I suppose I could, yes, valid point but going on just Geoff, which I did, brought up very little in the search so no mention of price, work done or contact info. Which brings me back to my point....

To cut a long story short,, a mega flush is a means of changing the Gearbox oil. If the oil is changed just by normal methods,, taking out the plug and letting it drain, not all of the oil actually drains out. A mega flush uses a special machine,,, bit like a dialysis machine, it removes all of the old oil and replaces it with new. Most people have it done as per the Gearbox manufacturers recommendation,, at 75k miles or thereabouts. In the UK prices range from 250 - 300 pounds. The Gearbox is normally reset at the same time so that it basically learns a new set of changes depending on your driving style. 2010 RRS, TDV8

ZF suggest a flush 50-75k or sooner with arduous use, and I can't emphasise enough how important it to get the fluid changed in a timely manner. I second the recommendation for Geoff - he's based in Kent but is mobile and often gets about on flushing trips. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Canrover,, the thing to keep in mind is this process is carried out using a Winns transverse flushing machine,, not a lot of dealers in the UK have them as they are quite hard to get hold of and are not cheap. That is why a lot of dealers simply drop the oil a couple of times to get as much oil out as possible. Have a look on U tube for a one in action and make sure that is the method they use.

Yes, that looks very similar to machine that Geoff has. His machine is made by Wynns.
