It runs up by the turbo, across the top of the bellhousing and terminates behind the engine just below the windscreen. Thumbs Up

I'll dig out a page from the manual... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Sorry, forgot to upload the routing info. I guess it's too late now but just in case:

The one on mine is white plastic and fits to two breather locations on the starter (solenoid and motor?). They T together and then runs up to behind the engine. When fitted by the LR dealer, it was just casually positioned to vent below the gearbox! Typical LR dealership quality of work. It was only because I checked whether they'd done it correctly that I found out that they hadn't. Suffice to say the dealership was somewhat surprised when I took the vehicle back and demanded it was done correctly. Unsurprisingly, I had to tell them where the information on the correct routing was to be found.

The reason I was paranoid enough to check is that I'm now on my third starter; the first two didn't appear to have the breather pipe (original install) or to have it correctly routed (second install) and both died prematurely following some wading. I do wonder if the change of wading depth in the manual from 540 to 700mm occurred because LR extended the original short breather. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Hi RRSTDV8 thanks for the reply wondering if that's what's caused mine to play up as we where court in the flood in the lakes in December and ended up wading through lots of water. Sounds like I might be looking at the breather the wrong way round as I hadn't realised ther where two breather outlets on the starter Embarassed
