That's the correct function - don't ask me how or why though - some old threads on here recommend it - tbh i use it all the time now - you can hear it switching between fan speeds & vent directions |

Mine does the same but I've also noticed that it seems to depend on the outside temperature as to whether or not the front and rear screens automatically come on. The FBH triggers when the temperature's low so perhaps they're linked to its operation.

Below 5 degrees the car automatically switches on the front and rear screen heaters and external mirror demisters, when the ignition is switched on. I often find it does this when they are not needed (no ice) but it's easy to switch off again in that case.

Ok thanks both for the info I'll check with the service dept. cos its going in for a faulty air flap to the footwells, I'll let you know. |
