Sounds odd, but may be water in tyres. Mine had exactly the same after I bought it and if it was standing there for a while it could do this. Mine was exactly the same, but only started at 70 nothing lower....worth a check

Do you feel pulsing through the brake pedal under hard braking ? When he replaced rear disc - did he do pads as well ? If other disc was not worn or warped - maybe ok not to replace. I'm not sure how you can tell just by looking that front discs are ok - but I would get them measured for run out before replacing - so you know if there was an issue -brake shop should have a tool to do this. I assume front wheel bearings and track/tie rod ends check out ok ? |

It is not a practice to replace only one rotor, but i don't think Your vibration is one new/old rotor. We need more info to trouble shot. What cause the steering vibration...Is it vibrate when brake is apply...did the mechanics replace the pad along with the rear rotor. In most cases, vibration are caused by wrap rotors, bad wheel balance, or bad suspensions. All these problems can be touble shoot by any mechanics. |
