Front lower arms

Can anyone let know is there any importance with measuring distance from centre of wheel to wheel arch when replacing lower arms as the garage I had fit them didn't know anything about the measurement process

They should have set the ride height (gap between centre of half shaft and edge of wheel arch) before tightening the lower arm bolts. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

It sets the bushes to the correct height, so there is no tension on the bushes when the car is at normal ride height Thumbs Up

It may cause premature wear on the bushes
