2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Cam shaft chain?

My RRS TDV8 57plate recently went 'pop'. Is it the chain? Should there be two? If so, what is the fix? It's only been 2 days and I miss my tank already

The only problems I've heard about with our beloved TDV8 engines are turbos which when they go can take the engine with them but not heard of any probes connected to the chain, sorry to hear of your loss.. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

Is there suppose to be a chain on that second cog though? Or does that picture look normal? I will have a look over the turbos and see if they are ok, thanks

2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

There is one chain per bank driving the inlet camshaft. The exhaust camshaft is driven by cogs from the inlet side. The other cog you see there is one of those drive cogs. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
