I did this on mine you might well need a new clock spring

But just for paddle shift you will only require the paddles a loom for the steering wheel and a software upgrade to enable them

Sorry, sort of related hijack, how easy is it to add the heated wheel to a car without and what is needed? ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

To add a heated wheel you will need the heated wheel itself, you will also need to check the "Clock spring /Rotary coupler"

When you aquire your new wheel with the heated element in it it will have a button on the opposite side to the ACC it is part of the new wheel RRS MY11 BALI BLUE OVERFINCH |

plug and play once you get bits, think you need to run a power wire up to switch, this has been well covered on d3 site |

Is the steering wheel air bag the same in the RRS and the D4 ?

Fitting just the paddle shifters requires nothing more than plugging them in on the right switch pack then enabling them in the CCF. If adding heated steering wheel, thats when you need the new clock spring.

I am planning on adding the paddle shifters to my 2010 RRS too. My vehicle already has a heated steering wheel, so do I only need the paddle shifters and new rear cowl? Where can I buy the appropriate cowl from (been looking online but haven't been able to determine whether it's the appropriate one or not)?
