2009 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Bourneville
2010 RRS SC not starting until brake pedal pressed very hard

Hi,

Changed my 2.7 '09 for a 5.0 '10 a few months ago and loving it. Recently it's started playing up when trying to start - pressing 'Engine Start' does nothing and the dash is showing 'Put Foot on Brake' (or similar). Pressing the pedal hard does then allow me to start the car and when it's running, a small amount of pressure is sufficient to bring on the brake lights.....

So I have to press the pedal hard to get it to start because it doesn't think I'm pressing it yet once running a small amount of pressure completes the circuit to turn on the brake lights - seems a contradiction unless they're different circuits?[/quote] '10 RRS 5.0 SC

Australia 2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 SE Fuji White

Could be wrong but from what I have read in the forum there are two sets of contacts (circuits) and one set is always pitted when the switch is replaced.
