@philmw who did you go with for the GAP? Also LR garage I'm buying from are owned by Sytner and asking for £1019 for 3 years GAP...which seems expensive

Is with Nice-1 ( https://www.nice-1.co.uk/motor-products/gap-protect.aspx ) but all sorted through my broker. I assume the cost will depend on what your underlying insurance policy is.

Looks like philnw had a good deal for 5 years , I've tried to get hold of them but I think I will try the landrover one £399 for four years , not sure if I can knock them down on the price or get a free umbrella , cup or pen , anything to make me feel like I haven't just been shafted .

Just looking at my bill for the car , do I need to tax it , not sure if it had to be done to get the private plate transferred .

I used ALA GAP insurance - never had a need to claim but online reviews and also other motoring forums are full of compliments. Much cheaper than anyone else too.

Hmm, good question.... do they come taxed or is that a further expense to get sorted?

How are you guys getting quotes from Land Rover Asset Protection?

My dealer is telling me he has never heard of it even though it is on their website...their trying to sell me the Sytner version for £1019!!

And Land Rover Insurance is telling me I have to get this arranged through the dealer as they can't do it over the phone.

I have been offered for 3 years:
- GAP: £699
- Tyre & Alloy: £699
- Cosmetic: £499
- Diamondbrite: £599
Total: £2496

Reduced to £1757 if I take all of them, giving me a "generous saving" of £739.

This was after me sharing with them the prices I got for some of the items I am actually interested in (not all of them). Who knows what they would have quoted if I hadn't looked elsewhere first. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
