RfL does appear on invoice also at £405, even though MY16 (306ps)SDV6 shows as £350 for 1st year on DVLA.

I wonder if they will give me my £55 back before I have to ask for it on collection Friday.

Could the extra £55 be for first registration, or is that listed separately?

What an afternoon , it would appear that dvla won't let the dealer register my new car in my double barreled name with the privet plate being of high value !
I have a few choices , change my name , register the car as a 65 then put my plate on when I receive the documents back in a few weeks or wait while they post everything to dvla which they think might be two weeks . All this after I had just sorted the car insurance and agreed the asset protection , all of which has now had to be stopped . Along with booking the car in for Friday pm to have the wheels swapped over and the detail/polish/hard wax completed .
The sales man had made a mistake and not billed me for tax and new car reg total of £405
To top my day off the new baby is crying and the wife has sore boobs Big Cry

Nothing wrong with a 65 plate. Then put your private plate on as and when you get time at least your not waiting around longer than you need for your delivery.

I don't really mind the wait , it's just all the problems/mistakes that I can't tolerate .

I hope yours lasts longer than 5 miles as that's all mine did when I drove it away and now I don't have the car.

Dealer is been very good and apologetic and I guess embarrised by this but I'm a little lost for words and don't know what to do maybe I will start a new thread for support.

I think you have to take a deep breath and then just the basics . Make sure you have a loan car similar to the one you just bought and some ideas of time scale for repair and most of all a large amount of honesty from the dealer .

This sounds like a fob from the dealership, not DVLA. The registration's value is subjective. The DVLA issue the registration. The DVLA 'own' the registration; they only license its use.

Good luck in getting the car. It will be worth it.

Now go and help soothe your wife's boobs.

Looks like this long drawn out affair is now coming to an end.
Car order 3/3 , built mid July then 7 delivery dates later Car being transported tomorrow.
Can't count number of calls to LR customer services and dealer.eventially found a very helpful person at customer services who put some effort into getting things moving. Never been confined but car was one taken after production for quality control. This process has been a nightmare.

Good news Diamond. Collect mine tomorrow from Pulborough, then straight to Dave @ Ideal for the weekend.
