As an update to a previous thread, where I was asked about the 3.0 TDV6 / SDV6, I have now had a 3.0 D4 SDV6 commercial (255bhp) on our rolling road, so I thought you'd like to see the results. We have been remapping the 3.0 for a few years now, in many different countries, and have always managed over 300bhp on the 8 speed models. It was nice to get one on my own dyno to gather more data and improve if required, but I think our tuning is pretty much spot on, and since we've never had a single problem with any 3.0, I'm not going to push any harder.

The ecu does have to come apart, but I'm pretty good at doing it without marking it. Feel the difference... Feel Alive!

Whilst I'm happy with my BAS remap, I like the idea of the electronic EGR blanking you offer.

I can add EGR shut to either a tuned or standard ecu. It's no problem!

I'm very interested in a remap and will be going ahead with it in the near future with yourselves, before I go ahead is there any other modifications you would recommend to maximize performance of the TDV6? |

A good remap on its own will dramatically improve the power delivery and response of the TDV6/SDV6. I have a MY14 SDV6 RRS myself, and doubt I'll do anything more to it than just a nice remap. Feel the difference... Feel Alive!

Good to hear, although from what I've quickly read there isnt a great deal that can be done to the MY10 other than a remap

Gary at Alive remapped my SDV6 a few weeks back on his stand at Land Rover Fest Billing. I have to say it has totally transformed the car, no more delay on the throttle at roundabouts and no longer wants to change gear randomly on the 8 speed box when you don't want it too. I have no idea what kind of power and torque figures it has but it goes like off a shovel now and I'm over the moon with it. 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

Deano_123: - I like to keep all emission control systems operational on these 3.0 and 4.4 diesel engines, as they're generally very reliable. Feel the difference... Feel Alive!
