To answer your questions if you have been offered a 2012 interior the seats and door cards will all fit no problem. The rear dvd screens won't work as you don't have the harness (cables ) they could probably be retrofitted Whistle if it has the rotary dial (gear-knob) that won't work as it is electronic and 8 speed auto.

Hi it's the complete unit cost is around £250 from dealer. Embarassed

Hi ABSport,

Great job on the conversion. Love that you kept everything OEM. Quick question on the chrome surround with the suspension switch. Does the DSC button right below the hill descent button work on your panel? The reason i ask is because on 2010 and 2011 the DSC button is right next to the button for heated seats which was replaced by the power tailgate button on 2012 and 2013. Im looking to replace the unit on my 2011 RRS SC as i like it better than the grey version with the rotary dial. Just wanted to make sure that its not going to throw any codes as I'm still under warranty. Thanks in advance for your response.

Hi everything works on it as it should, however as you say the DSC button is on the dash. There are two versions of the panel as mine is a SE model I opted for the basic standard gear surround. This way it was just plug and play. I know there is a different one which incorporates 1 more switch.
Your dealer will be able to help you with which one you require. Thumbs Up

Thank you for your prompt reply. Since i have a supercharged with adaptive dampening i will have to get the second version LR044983. Most parts websites and the dealer said that it is compatible with the 2011 and 2010 version but the DSC button probably will be non functional as its on the dash itself.

I also have one more question - Did you have to remove the steering wheel to replace the wiper and the turn signal stalks or is it as easy as removing the top and the bottom cover behind the steering wheel to replace them?

Thanks

Thank again for your help. I got the stalks installed without any issues. Now I'm working on installing the gear surround.

Hi nashvegas
Yes it is a direct replacement I also did not like the rotary switch. The newer "rocker lever" looks so much better, only problem is this is very expensive even with my trade discount from Land Rover it was still £230. Shocked however the grey trim around the cup holder and gearstick was £40. This is a little bit more fiddly to replace Whistle

That is superb news! I am going to try it. I wonder what it might look like to keep the metal / noble trim and add the 2012 shifter surround (maybe good... I'll try it and post up)

Also - one question - I realized that the DSC button which on the 2010 is replaced by the liftgate button on the 2012 has moved down to the shift surround. What happens if you press that button on your 2011 w the conversion?

Hi nashvegas,

Did you end up getting the chrome surround with the buttons instead of the rotary dial? If so can u post some pics?
Just want to see what it will look like with the noble trim.

Thanks

I got one more question for you - Im getting the gear surround with the suspension switch delivered in a few days. I can see that the gear shifter knob needs to be removed to remove the panel (i found videos on youtube regarding the removal of gear knob). Does the surround panel have screws or is it held together via clips. I just want to make sure that i don't break any clips when removing and installing the new one.

Thanks again for your assistance.

It has 2 screws underneath Crying or Very sad where the Range Rover emblem is they are directly beneath that. The only way to get to them is the top part of your centre consul has to be removed and you'll be able to undo the screws. Bit of a ball ache but be careful not to scratch or mark anything.

TIP, where you insert a CD you need to unclip the plastic cover and you'll see 2 small screws remove them and the consul will be able to be removed. Thumbs Up
